What SoloMio is, who it's for, and how we decide what to tell you.

Your body knows. SoloMio translates.

SoloMio is a wellness app that understands your body’s language. It takes the signals your body sends (sleep, stress, heart rate variability, recovery, movement) and turns them into a plan personalized to you, and in a language you can actually understand.

Why we built it

Somewhere in the last decade, the problem went from a lack of information to an overload of it. Millions of people now wear a device that measures their sleep, heart rate, and recovery. They wake up to a number with zero context.

So they go looking for answers. One influencer swears by cold plunges. A podcast says magnesium fixes everything. Their own health-tracking app suggests a training plan built for a marathon runner. And all of this wellness advice, tricks, and hacks conflict, leaving people confused on how to actually get that 24 sleep score up to a 99.

All these bio-hacking dashboards just result in a person with more data than ever and less idea of what to do on a Tuesday morning.

That gap between the signal and the action is the whole reason SoloMio exists. We're not building another tracker. You already have one. We're building the thing that reads it and tells you, in plain language, what it might mean and what's worth doing about it.

Then we made the doing feel good

Knowing what to do is only half of it. Actually doing it, day after day, is the hard part. So SoloMio grows with you. Every small action plants and tends a garden that's yours alone.

You start with a seed on day one, and it grows as you make progress towards your goals. Every time a seed blooms into a flower, it gets planted in your personal garden as a visual reminder of how much you’ve accomplished.

Check in every day, follow your daily move, and keep working towards your health goals to watch your garden grow alongside you.

We do not believe in streaks or leaderboards. Just enjoy the flowers of your labour as a reminder that small things really do add up.

Who it's for

SoloMio is built for people who want to feel better and are tired of being told to optimize.

If you own a wearable and rarely act on what it shows you, that's you. If you've said "I know I should sleep better" more than once this year, that's you. If you want guidance you can trust but don't want it delivered like a lab report or a lecture, that's you.

It isn't built for biohackers, competitive athletes, or anyone looking for a diagnosis. And it works with the device you already wear rather than asking you to buy a new one. No wearable at all? You can still enter how you're doing manually. Your body is always sending signals even without a sensor on your wrist.

How we decide what to tell you

A daily action is only worth taking if the reasoning behind it holds up. So every recommendation in SoloMio has to clear six checks before it reaches you. We call this the SoloMio Evidence Standard.

The research has to be:

  1. Peer-reviewed.
  2. Conducted with humans.
  3. Published recently, or still holds up under scrutiny.
  4. Not funded by anyone selling the fix unless the funding is disclosed and the finding has been replicated independently.
  5. Within the consensus of bodies such as the WHO and the NIH.
  6. Safe to do on your own.

Anything that fails a check doesn't reach you. Sometimes that means a popular piece of advice never appears in SoloMio at all. We'd rather leave a gap than fill it with something that doesn't hold up over time.

All of our in-app suggestions will be cited with a DOI link so you can access the source yourself. And it has to work in real life, fitting people with different accessibility needs.

The SoloMio experience is personalized to every user. So, when the evidence is genuinely thin or limited for someone with your profile specifically, the app will make it clear rather than pretending the science applies equally to everyone.

Did you know?

Most of what gets repeated about cold exposure comes from studies run mainly on men. In one review of ten years of exercise thermoregulation research, women made up somewhere between 12% and 18% of participants in any given year. So when someone says "cold plunges do X," the honest footnote is usually "…in men, mostly."

What SoloMio isn't

It isn't medical care. SoloMio offers wellness guidance, education, and lifestyle support. It doesn't diagnose, treat, or replace a doctor, and if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or take medication, talk to a professional before changing your routine.
